Hello everyone!

This is the first official devblog on this itch page! And well I am gonna provide some information about the game and what has been going on if you have followed the discord server since the start of this project last year!

So I now am copying the devblog partly from the discord server!

I  started earlier this month on working on Faded Memories again! 
Well not the same Faded Memories people have playtested and had access to as an RPG no. I have decided to remodule the RPG into a visual novel and so far I gotten abit of the first chapter done and yea its gonna be so much easier for me to create and distribute this in a way that is gonna be beneficial for everyone! 

Why is this beneficial?

For 3 reasons really! 1. I am able to release chapters quicker then I would making chapters in the game as it required me to spend time getting more assets and alot more focus on making things work together!
2. I will be able to get direct feedback from you all by using a designed bug report (text) and (incorrect character)! Using a form!
3. The code will be more structured and I will actually be able to easier then earlier to fix and check bugs for several areas of the game! 

But why a visual novel? 

Truth be told I kinda got hooked on playing these types of games recently and well I felt like the story I have in mind benefit more from being in visual novel form then as an RPG. I will also open up a new section on the discord for a feedback group that you can apply for in August! The feedback group will get access to a special section aswell as alpha builds! 

What happend to the RPG game? 

The game still excist and I will be working on that in the future but for now I will be creating Faded Memories as a Visual Novel! 

Chapter Size? 

This is hard for me to say cause right now I probably can atleast create 15-30 chapters, and I keep coming up with ideas so this might end up being 50+ chapters depending on when my idea runs out and how long I will be wanting to keep the story alive! 

Will there be custom characters? 

Yes I am currently in the process of getting the characters for the first few chapters comissioned! 

If you have any additional questions like release dates/update schedule I will get back on these! Right now im trying to finish the first chapter to both learn the new engine aswell as make sure everything works as I want it to!
